Child Care Biz Help, Together We Grow to Host Webinar on Church-Based Child Care Solutions in West Virginia

Free Oct. 6 webinar will help church leaders explore whether their facilities, mission and community needs could support child care programs

The organizations will host a free webinar for church leaders, “Could Your Church Help Solve West Virginia’s Child Care Crisis?” from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Across West Virginia, many families continue to face limited access to licensed child care. The shortage affects more than parents and children. It also impacts employers, workforce participation, economic development and the long-term strength of local communities.

Churches may be an important part of the solution.

Many churches already have facilities, trusted community relationships and a mission centered on serving children and families. With the right planning, partnerships and operating model, those assets may help expand child care capacity in communities where families need it most.

The webinar is designed for pastors, executive pastors, church administrators, church boards, children’s ministry leaders and others interested in strengthening families and communities throughout West Virginia.
